During difficult times, sales can make or break a business, resulting in success or failure. Making that extra sale can mean the difference between being profitable and growing vs being unsuccessful and unable to expand. When these sales strategies are executed, they will protect your career and business in the long run, regardless of how the economy performs.
Increasing your business revenue in these uncertain times is tough. What can you do? The first thing is to get crystal clear on what you want.
This is where coaching comes in.
Coaching is about helping you see the possibilities you can't see from the direction you're looking at. It deals with the 'how.' How you move from where you are and make changes to reach your destination. It's action-oriented and concerned with the present and future, not the past.
Coaching focuses on achieving specific, measurable goals for the individual and potentially for the organisation.
At the core of the "10X Your Sales and Profits" coaching programme is the concept of massive action. Business success isn’t just about having a great product or service; it’s about taking relentless action to reach your goals. This means not waiting for opportunities to come to you but actively seeking them out. My mentor once said, “Success is your duty, obligation, and responsibility.” This mindset shifts the focus from merely being in business to a commitment to achieving results.
A winning mindset is crucial for increasing your sales. Thus, your beliefs about yourself and your abilities directly impact your performance. If you enter a sales conversation believing you will fail, you likely will. Conversely, a positive and confident mindset can be a game-changer.
As a business owner, breaking even can be difficult, let alone scaling your profits exponentially. However, you only need to do two things to scale your business to $1 million and beyond.
1. You Have To Really Want It
Unless you really want it, you will never be able to scale your business to the point where you are financially successful.
2. You Have To Do The Math
Ambition alone isn’t enough to attain your financial goals; you must also do the math to figure out how to get there.
Part of the "10X Your Sales and Profits" coaching programme consists of going through the proven 7-Step 10X Business Wheel to scale your business. This is where the magic happens.
In the mid-80s & 90s, Malaysia’s economy was booming. The telecommunications sector was thriving with new technology.
1990–1993: Amidst all that, one small company worked to get the first audiotex telecommunications licence from the Ministry to run the 600 Dial-In-Number business.
The business grew exponentially, raking in over RM3.0 million annually.
1995: Management and leadership issues cropped up.
2nd Half 1995: Nationwide, the audiotex industry faced technical problems, which resulted in revenue dropping drastically.
1996–1997: Technical issues persisted = all companies (involved in audiotex) nationwide continued to make losses, the birth of the World Wide Web, and the Asian Financial Crisis.
After 1998: Worldwide - the audiotex industry died a natural death.
𝗠𝗢𝗥𝗔𝗟 𝗢𝗙 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗦𝗧𝗢𝗥𝗬: No business coach or mentor to help steer the storm. No one to talk to. No one to bounce ideas off. No roadmap. No vision. No strategy. No one foresaw the impact of the WWW, the technical issues, the financial crisis and the smartphone. In the end, I lost everything!
